Hello!

I am honored to serve as the WVASFAA President for the 25-26 year. I’ve been involved with WVASFAA for a few years now, and I see the great value and potential that our association holds. I’m thankful for former leaders who have led with heart and cleared a path for me to get more involved. I am hopeful that we can continue to be an association that is supportive, welcoming, and helpful in our pursuit of enhancing the financial aid profession in West Virginia.

Last year, our theme was about survival, and it really did feel like a year of surviving all the changes thrown our way! While things haven’t necessarily calmed down, it’s time to turn our sights on the possibilities of tomorrow. This year, I challenge us to look to the future and chase professional innovation. Our theme this year, Roadmap to Innovation, sets our focus on new ideas, new technologies, and new partnerships as we continue to navigate the ever-changing landscape of financial aid.

I’d like to invite you to join us for our Director’s Summit on November 7th at the Courtyard Marriot in Bridgeport, WV. This event will spotlight regulatory updates with visits from key state stakeholders. We will also gather for our Annual Conference in March of 2026 at the Bridgeport Conference Center. Please plan to join us March 18th through March 20th.

We hope to offer additional training, calls, and activities throughout the year. Please monitor the website and look out for our listserv announcements.
